DVRs (Analog, Hybrid)

- A DVR (digital video recorder) to record analog cameras with BNC connectors over a variety of cable options. Also available are Hybrid DVRs, which can support either analog and HD-SDI (HD over coax), or analog and IP Network cameras.

Standalone DVRs (non-PC based) are more common and are ideal for lower-budget, economical installations, as well as when there are no PC-savvy operators.

PC-based DVRs typically have more features than standalone, and are ideal for scalability, flexibility, and future upgrades in software and cameras. We assemble and test these systems in our office in Los Angeles, CA, so we know what parts get installed in the DVRs, which is why we are able to offer a better warranty over standalone DVRs. Most PC-based systems feature an energy-efficient power suppply, Windows 7 64-bit, and a 3-year warranty. We have built over 1000 PC-based systems since 2006, and thanks to advances in technology, we offer free remote DVR assistance to our customers with our PC-based systems.

- An HD-SDI DVR records HD cameras at 720P (1.3 megapixels) or Full HD 1080P (2.1 megapixels) over quality coaxial RG59 or RG6 cable. This is a popular 
option for those who are upgrading existing systems which have quality coaxial cable already installed. The very thin coaxial or Siamese cable (usually 
pre-made lengths) will not transmit an HD signal. And if the cable's distance is beyond 100-150 feet, an HD-SDI extender may have to be used. An HD-SDI DVR cannot accept analog BNC inputs, unless it specifically lists that capability. Our MAG-Series DVRs are capable of accepting and automatically recognizing D1, 960H, and SDI cameras.
